Recart’s founder, Lee Bown, lifted the Entrepreneur of the Year trophy on Friday night at the 2016 Nottinghamshire East Midlands Chamber Business Awards. Achieving the joint highest number of award nominations on the night, Recart was also shortlisted for Employer of the Year and Excellence in Customer Service.
We are also in the hat for two awards at next month’s Recruiter’s Investing in Talent Awards: Best Engineering Recruitment Company to Work For, and Most Inspiring Recruitment Leader. Not bad for a business that isn’t one of the so-called big players in the industry…yet.
We are proud to offer a different approach. For us, recruitment doesn’t boil down to cold calling, bullish persuasion, and a sales transaction; recruitment can represent a life-changing career move for a candidate, or a critical hire for a growing business – so the industry should be delivering the quality and flair that such important events merit.
“It was pleasing to be nominated for three awards, with victory in one,” said Lee, who founded Recart in 2003. “It’s recognition that we’re doing things right and people are noticing. It’s great we can attend the Awards and celebrate that people are noticing and rate what we’re doing. Success is putting ‘us on the map’, as we look to double our staff in the next few years.”
